An organized, results-oriented specialist in event management, communications and fundraising, Joanne’s ability to handle projects from end-to-end is unparalleled and results in stress-free events that meet and exceed client expectations.
Joanne has a diploma in Public Relations and over 25 years of event management experience. In addition to extensive experience in her own business, Joanne’s background includes staff positions with Ottawa Distress Centre, Big Brothers of Ottawa and District, Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre, and the Royal Ottawa Healthcare Foundation.
Senior Project & Event Manager
Cathy is a personable and energetic organizer who values customer service. Her attention to detail coupled with her strength in handling logistics results in successful events and outstanding customer satisfaction.
Cathy has a degree in Radio and Television Arts and 15 years of hands-on experience in event management and client service. Having worked at Scotiabank Place (Ottawa) and SkyDome (Toronto), Cathy has planned, coordinated and executed an extensive variety of events including large concerts, professional sports events such as baseball and hockey games, carnivals, galas, and numerous corporate functions.
Event Management Consultant
Hilary Roberts has been working with our team for the past five years. Hilary is a graduate of Algonquin College’s Business Marketing program, as well as the Event Management program. Hilary is one of our consultants who has worked all aspects of our events from registration, auction management, route manager to production assistant. Hilary says “she is delighted to be able to work with öur team, and to be able to contribute to our dynamic events throughout the city”.

Emma is an energetic, good humoured and driven event coordinator who openly embraces challenges.
As a recent graduate of the Event Management Program at Algonquin College and with a background in Interior Design, Emma’s key strengths include her attention to detail in both design and logistics.
Emma is the most recent addition to the J|M|A team and is looking forward to working with you to make your next event a success!
Carla has been working with j|m|a for over three years putting together teams that provide both photographic and videographic coverage. They have beautifully captured the key people and moments at a variety of event types.
With her diploma in Hospitality Management and her former career in the hotel management and catering & event industry, Carla understands very well what it takes for events and functions to run smoothly and fits well with the organized, detail-oriented j|m|a Event Planning Team.
